FAIRFIELD BOARD OF SELECTMEN CONDUCTS 5th ANNUAL
FAIRFIELDER OF THE YEAR AND TOWN EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARDS
The Board of Selectmen is conducting its fifth annual Town of Fairfield Employee of the Year Award and the Fairfielder of the Year Award.

All Citizens and town employees are encouraged to submit awards applications to the First Selectman's Office by Friday, October 17, 2008. Citizens can obtain nomination criteria and forms for each award from the First Selectman's Office, the Town's website (www.fairfieldct.org), or this website.

An independent committee will review all submitted applications and then recommend three finalists for each award to the Board of Selectmen who will select the two final winners. The Board of Selectmen will present both awards to the two outstanding individuals—one Fairfield resident and one Town Employee—in November.

First Selectman Flatto said, "The Selectmen wanted to find a way to honor some of the outstanding individuals who make significant contributions to our community. We also wanted to show our appreciation to our outstanding town employees."
